The most popular destination on the Andaman coast after Phuket. It offers pristine beaches, spectacular cliffs, clear water and fascinating marine life.


Phi Phi The name is derived from the Malay and the original was Pulao Pi ah Pi, where in pulao is the Malay word for island, and pi, pronounced with p half was very close to the pronunciation of the word English is ah was dropped, so the name was said something like Bi Bi. Later P was pronounced with a stronger aspiration and the name was Pi Pi we know today (the h, as it is usually spelled is confusing and superfluous).
